Beginner Bead Making Workshop - 3 Hours

from £90.00

Discover the joy of molten glass in this hands-on beginner workshop at Ash Tree Art Glass.

Over three hours, you’ll explore the art of lampworking — creating glass beads over a flame — in our safe and supportive studio. The session begins with essential safety guidance and a live demonstration before you start making your own beads.

You’ll begin by getting comfortable with the process, then experiment with decorative techniques such as layering, dots or basic surface designs.

What’s Included:

  • Full safety briefing and live demonstration

  • One-to-one guidance throughout

  • All materials and tools and safety equipment provided

  • Your finished beads to keep

Your beads will need to anneal in the kiln overnight, so they won’t be ready to take home immediately. You can collect them the next day or when it suits, or we can post them to you.

(Please note that cracking or breaking during the annealing process can occur. These instances are rare but should be taken into account as part of the nature of working with glass.)

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners — no prior experience required. Classes can be booked for one person (£90) or two people together (£150), making it a perfect shared creative experience.

So, whether you’re curious about glass, love handmade crafts, or just want to try something new, this workshop offers a unique and creative experience!
